Key
Spiritual Concepts:
(directly
related to our practice methods)
Ownership,
Obedience, and Determination
We have
responsibility when it comes to our health on several
different levels. We must take Ownership by
counting all costs before making a decision on a matter,
seeking the Lord's will through prayer, His Word, and
Godly counsel. Wemust also use the authority He has
given us to make the necessary decisions about our families
health.
"To
obey is better than sacrifice,..." -I Sam. 15:22
After we
do this we must be wholeheartedlyObedient to
His will. Whether His
will manifests itself through answered prayer, confirmation
in His Word, or Godly counsel, it
must be obeyed to
receive His blessing. Seeking His wisdom is fruitless
unless we apply it through Obedience.
After these
first two steps, there is one final step: Determination. After
we have sought His direction and have purposed to obey
his will, we
must be determined to
follow through to the end to receive His best for us. Sometimes
the results are slow and distractions come along, but
we must not let these factors interfere and cause us
to lose sight of His best.
Counsel
"Without
counsel purposes are disappointed..." - Prov. 15:22
The Lord
has also instructed us to seek wise counsel before
choosing a course of action. A wise counselor would
base his counsel on
the Lord's Ways. Dr. Nieten endeavors not to be just
your dentist, but rather to fill a role he feels called
to as a Godly health counsel. The
Lord has prepared him for this role through extensive
training, wonderful experience, and his study in both
the Word of God and in health and dental matters.
